GUEST BOATS

  • Our kayaks, rowboats, stand-up paddleboards and canoe are provided free of charge to our guests only. A boat use agreement will be signed upon arrival.

  • Barge trips for guests are made on the hour between 9 am - 7 pm. In between, we encourage use of rowboats or the trail around the lake.

RENTAL ROW BOATS

  • $40 per day.

  • Our 2 & 3 person boats (including oars and life jackets) are available for rent from 8 - 5 pm.

  • No reservations. We have plenty of row boats available to rent. Just use the phone on the tree to call over to the Lodge. Complete a Boat Use Agreement. Pay in cash when the rental begins.

  • Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Boats may not be operated after dusk or during storms.

  • We do not rent kayaks, canoes, or stand up paddleboards.

FISHING

  • Salmon Lake is stocked by the Department of Fish and Game, as are many of the high county lakes and streams. The hatchery fish are hybrid Rainbow Trout. The native population includes Eastern Brook, German Brown and Rainbow Trout.

  • Fishing is best in June, September and October when the water is cool.

  • Fishing licenses and bait are available at Bassett's. Guest fish may be cleaned only in the fish cleaning sink in the Lodge.

SWIMMING

  • The lake is warm enough to swim from late June - mid September.

HIKING

  • Hiking trails lead to scenic meadows, glacial lakes, and the nearby Pacific Crest Trail.
