Hard Cabin High Season: June 9 - September 20

Tent Cabin High Season: June 15 - August 30

Important information:

• WE DO NOT ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS.

• Cabin rental rates do not include 12.5% Sierra County Hotel Tax. All other sale prices (apparel, BBQ, etc.) do include sales tax

  • Optional BBQ dinner on Thursday is $40 for adults and $15 for kids 10 and under

• Rental period is weekly (possible 3-night rentals of Tent Cabins between Labor Day and mid-September)

• Moving day is Saturday for Tent Cabins

• Moving day is Sunday for other cabins (except in late Fall when Lake and Tank move on Saturdays)

• Check in between 2 PM and dusk.

• Upon arrival, use intercom in tree to call for barge pick up

• Check out (departing Lodge dock) by 10:30 AM

  Rates DO include:

• Use of rowboats, kayaks, stand up paddleboards and canoe, as available

• Boat rides across lake (available hourly 9 AM - 7 PM, and by appointment)

• Tractor delivery of baggage to and from your cabin at the start/end of the week

• Use of hand carts to move your own belongings mid-week

  Rates DO NOT include:

• Gratuity

• Sierra County Hotel tax of 12.5%

• Over-capacity charge of $50 per night per person over cabin's posted maximum capacity

• Additional tractor deliveries or departures mid-week ($100 fee applies)

  As of 2023:

• We have new stoves in the Hill, Tank, and all Tent Cabins. They are induction cooktops, and are only compatible with cookware that is flat-bottomed and magnetic. Cast iron and most stainless steel cookware will work fine. If a magnet sticks to it, it will work!
  Aluminum pots and pans cannot be used with these stoves.
  Each cabin is equipped, as before, with two burners.

  Deposit refunds and cancellation fees:

• Your deposit will be fully refundable if we cannot operate due to a fire closure order or a public health order.  Otherwise, the deposit will be non-refundable unless we are able to fill the vacancy.  If we are able to fill the vacancy, we will refund the deposit less a cancellation fee.  The cancellation fee is $50 if you cancel at least one month before your scheduled arrival date, and $200 if you cancel less than one month before that date.

  Smoke policy:

• Forest fires are part of the natural ecosystem of the Sierras.  If air quality at Salmon Lake is affected by forest fires but we are not subject to a fire closure order, we will generally remain open for business.  If you cancel your reservation in advance of arrival because of significant smoke but the business is open, you will forfeit your deposit but you will not owe any additional money.  If you have already come to Salmon Lake but decide to go home early because of smoke, you will owe the greater of your deposit or a pro-rated rental rate for the number of days you have stayed at the lake, with the pro-rated daily rate calculated at one-fifth of the weekly rent.  If we, in our discretion, decide to close the business temporarily because of dangerous air quality due to smoke, then we will refund your deposit (less rent for any days you have actually stayed at Salmon Lake).
